As little girls, we dream of the perfect boyfriend. We dream of the fairy tale marrying prince charming and riding off on his white horse. Amanda and I have shared lots of laughs, tears, softball games, and sleep overs. We have been close friends since 4th grade. I'm grateful that she chose me to capture the most important day of her life. I have never seen her eyes light up the way they do when she looks at Bruce. She has truly found her prince charming!! Congrats my sweet friend! I wish you all the happiness in the world!!
Today we live in a world where the criminals are made out to be the victims. The world is making our protectors out to be the scary ones. Everything is somehow turned into a "hate crime". Heroes are those who risk their lives everyday to protect our world and make it a better place.
"Greater love has no one than this, to lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13
Police officers are out there making our street safer for you, me and our families while their families are sitting home hoping and praying that their loved one will come home unharmed. The fear on a wife's face when they get a call in the middle of the night.
My family owns a body shop and wrecker company and I know when my dad gets calls in the middle of the night, my mom is awake until he walks back through the door. I couldn't imagine the fear of a police officer's wife. They are very strong women, knowing that their loved one is out their putting his life on the line to protect others.
A few nights ago, we had a precious friend taken from us in a horrible accident while he was trying to help another victim from an earlier accident. That next evening, I had the privilege of taking "law enforcement" pictures for two of the officers that were first on the scene. I could see the pain in their eyes when they told me that they worked the wreck. These officers see things day in and day out that no one should ever see. They are out there risking their lives for us. They leave their families at home to do the job that only the brave can do.
I have always been scared of police officers. Not because they are scary personally... but because I've always been scared of getting in trouble. I'm one of those girls who never got in trouble and would always follow the rules... so when I get pulled over, the tears start falling and my heart starts racing. But after meeting these sweet families, I have developed a whole new respect for our men and women in uniform. They are nothing but good and caring.
These families are in my prayers and so are all the first responders. May God bless and protect you, always.
Hi guys!! I'm so excited about my first blog! I'm new to the blogging world so bear with me. I absolutely love photography! Ever since I was a little girl I have annoyed my family with taking pictures. I never thought of it as a career. It was always just a hobby. Then one day, I was sitting with my dad and he said that I would start my own photography business! So, a week later I had it up and going and its been awesome!! I started out going to some workshops where I met some of my closest friends! The best thing about this job is the friendships I have made! It so fun having so many close friends that I can share this awesome journey with.
I'm married to my incredibly handsome cowboy and we have two adorable kiddos. We live on a horse ranch in Okarche, OK where we have 7 horses and two dogs. My dog, Wyatt Earp, was the first love of my life... until my hubby came around. My husband once accused me of loving Wyatt more than him. lol!
My hubby is a history teacher and softball coach at Westmoore High School. (Go Jags!) He has five State Titles, Coach of the Year and just this past summer he was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame!! You can say that I'm just a little proud of him! I love going to his games, but more importantly, I love seeing the relationships that he has with his students and players. He truly cares for them and is always there when they need him. They say that a teacher/coach has a bigger impact on a person's life in one year than most people in a lifetime. I'm very proud to be married to a teacher.
God has blessed my life beyond reason. He has taken me down roads that I never thought I would go down, but because of his faithfulness, I have a wonderful life and beautiful family!! AND all of you as friends!!
Thank you for visiting my first blog!! I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better and I hope to captured those precious moments for you in the future!
